And that's a wrap for Prelims 2025! ๐ฎโ๐จ
Phew! Just walked out of the center and my head is still spinning. GS Paper 1 felt like a mix of 'oh, I know this!' and 'where did that come from?!' Polity and Economy seemed manageable, but Current Affairs definitely had some curveballs. And don't even get me started on a couple of those history questions!
CSAT, surprisingly, felt... different. Not as brutal as 2023, but those comprehension passages still demand serious focus. Maths was okay, but time management was key.

I've realized something huge about UPSC Prelims prep
Geography is a TOTAL wildcard!
One year it's all about physical geography, asking super conceptual stuff about atmospheric layers or ocean currents.
The next, it's like "name this obscure tribal group from a remote forest in a state you vaguely heard of" or some hyper-specific river confluence no one studies. ๐คฏ.
My strategy shifted from just reading G.C. Leong to religiously scanning current affairs for every geographical location mentioned โ even tiny islands or newly discovered species habitats.
Plus, map-based questions are becoming more integrated, not... read more

Remember, CSAT is a qualifying paper
CSAT around the corner. Quick reminder: focus on your strengths in comprehension, reasoning, or basic numeracy. Solve a few PYQs to stay in touch with the pattern. Don't try to learn everything new now. Time management during the exam will be key โ don't get stuck on any one question. A calm mind goes a long way.
Remember, CSAT is a qualifying paper, and the key is to secure the minimum required marks (33%). A strategic appr... read more

Delhi's a different beast when you're a UPSC aspirant.
It's not just about the heat or the crowds; it's the sheer concentration of dreams, all laser-focused on cracking that exam. You see it in the packed libraries in Mukherjee Nagar, the endless discussions over chai about current affairs, the quiet intensity in the eyes of everyone around you.
Days blur into a cycle of reading, note-taking, and mock tests. The pressure is immense, the competition fierce. It's a lonely journey in many ways, but there's also this unspoken camaraderie, a shared understanding of the grind.

5 days to UPSC Prelims โ Flow State. ๐ง
